After work Wednesday 23rd we headed straight for Haymarket to Her Majesty’s Theatre to watch my first ever show. Phantom of the Opera. Had pretty good seats too apparently, front row in the Royal circle.I must admit that as i settled into my seat i was muttering to myself that i should make my excuses and go to the Sports Cafe next door to watch Liverpool and AC Milan in the UEFA Champions League final.
But i thought against it (apart from the fact that i couldn’t live with myself seeing that sad puppy dog look from Janet that i hadn’t even given it a go…!) So, i thought i would get into the swing of things by taking a few pictures.
Taking pictures in a theatre is the work of Satan, according to the usher who opened a whole can of whoop-ass on me, as she sneaked up in-between me and Janet and just exploded. I still managed to get a few pics in which are later in the post.
So, what did i think?

Well, its been an interesting one. Friday night i drank rather too much which was stupid considering i had to be up early the next day to pick up my beast! Anyway, woke up with rather a large headache and set off for Edgeware.
The car is fantastic, the 6 speed gearbox takes some getting used to, but the power is lovely. pick up is amazing. Its great to have it back. Just in time too!
Saturday night i took the car, my parter and my Tomtom for a trip to a family shin-dig in wellingborough. Ive heard a lot of people say that TomTom is over rated, and i want to set the record straight… TOMTOM ROCKS!. Door to door with pinpoint accuracy, not so much as a wrong turn. very impressed.

I have put this post into the category of ‘jokes’ although im not actually sure you could call it funny! - some very good pictures, no doubt taken a nano-second before their rear passage shrunk to 1000th of its normal size.
Click on a picture to enlarge.
do you have any more like this? please email if you do!

Off i went on Sunday 28th to the Emirates Stadium to watch Arsenal struggle against Bolton in the FA Cup Fourth Round. I also took some rather dodgy pictures with my new Samsung digital camera. Please excuse the dodgy pictures, i was struggling to work out what all those knobs and dials do.
Speaking of Knobs, i need to bring to everyones attention one particular young man at the game.
He spent the entire 2nd half searching for bluetooth devices and trying to send them some dodgy asian porn picture. I know this becuase i was one he tried to send it to. If i was his dad (who was sitting next to him) i would have smashed him right up the wall. It annoys me no end to think someone paid for his ticket, which are by no means cheap and then he just sit there, dicking around with his phone.
anyway… the rest of the pictures of the actual game

The last time i bought a digital camera was when i went to LA in 2001, it was a Canon Powershot which cost me $599 and was a 2 Mega Pixel. It did me for what i needed it for, you know.. to take pictures and stuff. I was quite happy.
Happy until i noticed someones PHONE in the office with a 3 Mega Pixel camera. Time to get something a little more up to date. I find a very styish Samsung NV3 and fall in love…
[update]
Just ordered one, it will be here tomorrow!!

ICE SKATING
December 27th, 4pm, In the grounds of The Tower of London. It was time for repeated bruising. It was time for holding on. Dying swan was ready, willing, and enabled.I hand over my old, smelly, (… and comfortable !) trainers to the non-english speaking guy behind the counter, in exchange for a rock hard pair of storm-trooper boots with a blade. I strap my feet in, and try to stand up.
Wobble, wobble and more wobblin’ - how the hell was i gonna manage to stand up straight, let alone be majestic on the ice.. Within a few feet of walking i think ive sussed it.. then disaster strikes, i have to step OVER a bench..
Rest easy, i made it, much to my disbelief! and then i get on the ice. Janet immediately skates off with the grace of a winter olympics superstar, leaving me slipping, sliding and gripping the side with vicelike strengh.

Arsenal 6 - 2 Blackburn Rovers
Those that know me know that i hate football, always have. Cant stand how it takes over peoples lives, cant understand how anyone can devote so much time to a game that just that, a GAME.
Having said that, i think its a little unfair to judge something that i have no experience of. Although ive never had a wasp trapped in my forskin, and i could tell you here and now, even without experiencing it, i WOULD NOT LIKE IT!.
So, Janet and I open our ‘Official fake arsenal supporters pack’ comprising of an Arsenal Shirt, Scarf and season tickets, leave her house (which is 10mins walk from the emirates stadium) and off we go..
